Cellar Door - before picture

HUNGERFORD HILL WINERY

This iconic building designed by architect Walter Barda was in need of some exterior maintenance and interior updating.

The exterior plywood cladding had become dry and faded.  It quickly regained its former glory with several coats of Murobond "Woodwash Exterior" - it was a big job!

Then the interior of the "barrel" also needed painting.  I changed the pale grey to the contrasting cream and dark grey - accentuating the beautiful skeleton of the building - my wonderful painters could only work at night so that the cellar door could still operate - but the pain was over in a couple of weeks.

We then added a coffee bar and new display areas as well as bar tables and chairs.  We designed new furniture for the Tasting Room.  This furniture is constantly being changed into different configurations to accommodate the groups coming for tastings - so the "wrought iron" armchairs are actually lightweight aluminium and the small tables easily push into any shape required.

We also added an outdoor terrace with seating overlooking the rolling hills and neat rows of vines - ideal for sipping some of the stunning Hungerford Hill wines.
